This is my second flying lesson.  I forgot that I was supposed to use my feet to steer (RIGHT RUDDER!  RIGHT RUDDER!  RIGHT RUDDER!) as I was taking off.  What did I do wrong?  I tried to steer the plane with the yoke.  Apparently not everything that Roger was trying to teach me in the first lesson stuck.  There was so much to learn.

I got to do “DUI” landings.  Please allow me to explain. I tried to line the plane up for landing.  It’s much harder to line up for landings than it looks – and it did indeed remind me of driving under the influence.

Trying to deal with this other dimension, being in the sky, is an exhilarating feeling.
