“Some people never find it
Some only pretend
But I just want to live
Happily ever after, now and then”
― Jimmy Buffett

Another windy, but promising Saturday.  It’s time for an adventure!  This time we’re off to another North Carolina aquarium.  Proof of Jimmy Buffet’s song, “we’re growing older but not up.”

Today we’re going to go see the aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina.  We’ll be landing at the airport, Michael J. Smith Field Airport (MRH) in Beaufort, North Carolina.  For a little background, Michael J. Smith was born in Beaufort, NC and was the pilot of the Space Shuttle Challenger when it exploded on January 28, 1986.   It broke up 73 seconds into the flight, at an altitude of 48,000 feet.  It was to be his first space flight.  “Among his military honors were the Navy Distinguished Flying Cross, three Air medals, thirteen Strike Flight Air medals, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Silver Star. He flew 28 different types of civilian and military aircraft, logging 4,867.7 hours of flying time.”

The personnel at the airport were exceptionally nice.  As soon as we landed, there were two young guys who came and tied down the plane.

Then it was off to the aquarium we went.   Going through an aquarium is right up there with walking on the beach for relaxation!

The allure of the beach and seafood was pulling us in.

For those who know me, you know that I lived such a large portion of my life in fear.  My final accomplishment in life is to be free, to choose to be happy.  “Fear keeps us focused on the past or worried about the future. If we can acknowledge our fear, we can realize that right now we are okay. Right now, today, we are still alive, and our bodies are working marvelously. Our eyes can still see the beautiful sky. Our ears can still hear the voices of our loved ones.”  Thich Nhat Hanh

All the joys at going to and being at the beach:
