October 1, 2018Blue Skies “The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.” On our flight up THE entire state of West Virginia was covered over with clouds Kyger Creek Power Plant on the Ohio River as we cross through West Virginia to Ohio In the pattern for landing at Cambridge,OH airport for fuel. On the other side of runway is where the Colgate factory is. On final for runway 5 at Noble County (Wolf Run State Park). Grass parking that lead directly to our adventure! I had no idea where we were going. Roger kept the destination a secret. Wow! I never knew that you could fly in to a state park! The start of the trail that will lead us to my surprise! Yellow brick road A picnic on the lake! Flying fast. Living slow. Enjoying the scenery. There were many picnic tables on the site, but this was the prime spot – reserved for our dessert. Wolf Run State Park has two sections. On the other side of the lake is where the driving public would come in and camp and play. On our side of the lake was exclusively for pilots. There was only one other plane that came in the whole time we were there. They even had restrooms for pilots. Quoting the Eagles, “Cause I got a peaceful easy feelin'” Coming to the end of the day’s adventure or is it?
