“Smell the sea and feel the sky.  Let your soul and spirit fly.”

Last week I got to do both!  My flight instructor/dear friend and I went to Naples to pick up the plane I had bought from John.  John had upgraded to a new $850,000 plane, so he was selling the plane he had refurbished:  my plane.   It’s a Cessna 172 and I proudly named it “Flipper”.  Think Beach Boys:  Catch a wave and you’re sitting on top of the world.

Flying is in my blood.  I love the way you glide right over the top of all the sad things in life and people with anger issues.  It’s so peaceful and beautiful in the sky.  It’s my heaven on earth.  It’s where I go to rejuvenate.

I got to fly it back with Roger instructing me every step of the way.  (I learned to fly a Cessna 152.  This one is a Cessna 172.  It felt so much heavier than the Mighty Madame Cessna.)

While we were in Naples, we got to enjoy the area.  If you get a chance, that area is just as beautiful as all the people we met there.

Although it was a beautiful flight down, this was on a commercial flight.  Hopefully, I won’t be taking any more of those!

Here’s beautiful  Naples:

And now to my plane, a Cessna 172 that has been restored and flies beautifully.

Don’t forget:
