I just can’t wipe the smile from my face!!!!
I did my first solo this morning!!! I was really focused; I didn’t want to disappoint my flight instructor since he trained me so well. I did eight takeoffs and landings by myself. Surprisingly, they were the best takeoffs and landings I’ve ever done!!! I could hear my flight instructor in my head telling me everything to do – and the mighty Cessna 152 seemed to mother me through everything!!!
It will be at least a week before I stop walking on air!!!
He also gave me a gold pin of a Cessna with “First Solo” on it. I will always treasure it.
