“Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is about to happen.”  Unknown

Every morning that we fly, it’s like looking at a kaleidoscope when you gaze at the sky.   There are ever-changing patterns and colors.  Each morning sky is as unique as a fingerprint – all exquisitely beautiful, all so very special – revealing its own rareness.

When life drags me down, I will momentarily wonder if there is any good left in the world.  But, all I have to do when that occurs is to reminisce through these photos to know how far from the truth that is.  Each and every morning to see the sunrise  is like an affirmation of passion and hope.  These are things that I wish for you as well.

I know, I know, you are thinking that I’m about to tell you that this was the best day ever.  And, of course, I am!  (Roger is still my instructor, after all!)   Roger taught me new things again today.  Learning is a never ending process – especially when learning to fly.  There are always techniques to learn.  And, today, crosswinds to slay.   (Yesterday was serenely calm.)  It is soooo much fun regardless of what’s going on.  Today I learned to slip while focusing/following a road.  It was the best!!

We were doing touch and go’s at the Virginia Tech Airport.  It’s the airport practically in my own backyard but landing there sure seems to take more focused effort.  But, it was all in good spirit.

“Live your truth.
Express your love.
Share your enthusiasm.
Take action towards your dreams.
Walk your talk.
Dance and sing to your music.
Embrace your blessings.
Make today worth remembering.”
-Dr. Steve Maraboli

“This is what I like about photographs.  They’re proof that once, even if just for a heartbeat, everything was perfect.” – Jody Picoult
