“May there be just enough clouds in your life to create a glorious sunrise.” – unknown
There were already some strong crosswinds at the Roanoke Airport this morning, so we chose to practice landings at the New River Valley Airport. It was the perfect choice! It’s such a pretty airport in a farm-like setting – and great for practicing touch and go’s. I always think it would be the perfect setting for movies.
Almost as soon as I did the first landing, we looked around and saw the sky was going to be spectacular. Normally I post the pictures in the order that they were taken, but I fell so very much in love with this first photo posted below taken by Roger (of course – I’m flying the plane), I couldn’t wait to show you (like eating dessert first). Seeing the beauty all around is just so enormously awe inspiring. I always love flying at sunrise. And I cannot imagine a prettier place to live.
(All the touch and go’s were FUN – of course!)
