“Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?  I could really use a wish right now.”

Until recently I never knew all the maintenance required to keep us students (and the instructor, of course) safe flying in a trainer plane.  Did you know that trainer planes have to go through inspections every 100 hours?  This isn’t a ground check type of inspection.  The inspection involves a detailed, systematic evaluation directive.  Please review the FAA regulations starting on Page 12.

The very beloved Cessna 152 in which I have been trained is currently going through this 100-hour inspection and maintenance.  Pictures from how detailed this process is should be posted within a few days.
