My first night time landings at New River Valley Airport didn’t go as well as I hoped.  There was a crosswind.  And Roger was right:  there was a large learning curve for me.  But I learned more about side slips and crabbing.

And there were some cool things to mention.  The sky was BEAUTIFUL at night!  After I was up in the air and over the interstate in Christiansburg, I could see the beacon at the New River Valley Airport, so it was easy to head for it.  Secondly, there was an accident there (really unfortunate) but since we were in the air, we could see all that was going on.
